            Surat Basin Tenements

            Tarong Energy has owned a number of coal tenements in the Surat Basin since 1999.

            These tenements include the following Mineral Development Licences (MDLs) Exploration Permits for Coal (EPCs):
            • MDL382 over the Glen Wilga coal resource - located about 12km southeast of Chinchilla;
            • MDL383 over the Haystack Road coal resource - located about 25km east of Chinchilla: and
            • EPCs 585 and 637 - located near the two coal resources.

            Tarong Energy also has interest in the Glen Wilga to Tarong Power Station corridor – a 150km corridor from the Glen Wilga coal resource to the Tarong Power Stations. As a consequence of the September 2007 fuel decision, Tarong Energy will not be using the corridor to haul coal by rail.
